§ 864.04 INSPECTIONS; INSURANCE; DRIVER’S LICENSE.
   The Police Chief shall examine and inspect all vehicles proposed to be used in such business and, if a license is granted, such vehicles shall be inspected by the Police Chief or by a person designated by him or her at least once a month during the term of such license. The persons operating such business shall submit evidence of the insurance coverage required by Council at the time such license is granted. Evidence of such insurance coverage shall also be submitted to the Director of Law for his or her approval. The applicant shall also exhibit to the Police Chief evidence that the applicant and the operators of taxicabs have complied with all statutes of Ohio governing licenses. The name of each driver shall also be registered with the Police Chief along with each driver’s address, age, citizenship and statement of physical condition. No person shall be permitted to drive a taxicab who is unable to read or write the English language, who is addicted to the use of intoxicating liquors or drugs or who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of the state.
