A. Misdemeanor: Any person found guilty of violating any provisions of this Code, except as otherwise provided in this Code, shall be guilty of a Class One misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues shall be a separate offense punishable as hereinabove described.
B. Petty Offense: A petty offense shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00).
C. Civil Traffic: Any violation of or failure or refusal to do or perform any act required by Title 6 of this Code constitutes a civil traffic violation. Civil traffic violations are subject to the provisions of title 28, chapter 6, article 19 of the Arizona Revised Statutes and amendments thereto. (1986 Code § 1-8; 1997 Code)
