§ 115.10 MARKING ABANDONED WELL.
   In the event that any well is abandoned and plugged, the person obtaining the permit for the drilling of the well or the operator shall place upon the surface of the ground around, but not over, the top of the drivepipe of the abandoned well hole a concrete marker or monument which shall be of dimensions of not less than four feet by four feet and of a thickness of at least eight inches, and the same shall be so constructed and laid that at least four inches of the thickness of the slab shall extend above the surface of the ground and remain visible. There shall be marked in the concrete an inscription reciting that the slab marks the site of an abandoned oil or gas well and the date of abandonment. Notice of the abandonment and marking shall be given the Mayor within ten days after completion thereof.
