§ 97.02 PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS.
   (A)   Use of village park. It shall be unlawful for any person to use, enter or remain upon the property of the village park except in conformance with the rules and regulations set forth in this section.
   (B)   Posting of rules and regulations. The rules and regulations for the village park shall be posted at the village hall, at the driveway entrance to the village park and at such other place or places within the park as shall be likely to give park users reasonable notices of the provisions of the rules and regulations.
   (C)   Rules and regulations specified.
      (1)   Park hours.
 
March 1 to October 31
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
November 1 to March 1
8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Basketball Court Hours:
March 1 to October 31
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
November 1 to March 1
8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The upper park will be closed from November 1 to March 1.
 
      (2)   Park Lights. No new innings may start after 11:00 pm. Persons using the lights on the basketball courts or ball fields, before the park closes, should please turn them off. The lights on the basketball court turn off automatically at close of park.
      (3)   Speed Limit. Speed limit is 10 m.p.h. inside the park.
      (4)   Alcohol. No alcohol or other intoxicating or illegal substances are permitted on park property.
      (5)   Pets. All pets must be leashed while on park property. The owner is responsible to clean up after their pet.
      (6)   Smoking. There is no smoking allowed in pavilions, restrooms, tot area, or while in the bleachers.
      (7)   Protection of Persons. Disorderly conduct, including excessive loudness, loitering and indecency is prohibited. Boisterous, immoral or indecent conduct is prohibited.
      (8)   Firearms. No knives, slingshots, bows and arrows, clubs, fireworks, or other explosives permitted. Firearms permitted open carry, concealed carry permits required.
      (9)   Bicycles. No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, or any other type of wheeled vehicle are allowed on the basketball courts, baseball infields, or walking trails.
      (10)   All Vehicles.
         (a)   Motor vehicles must be operated on roads designated for such purposes, in a prudent manner and abiding by the posted speed limits.
         (b)   Other vehicles are prohibited: (including but not limited to) motorcycles, motorbikes, ATV's, dirt bikes, dune buggies, snowmobiles, golf carts, or any other off-road vehicles. When used as transportation to the park, they must be parked in an area designated for that purpose.
      (11)   Reservations. All pavilion and ball field(s) reservations must be scheduled at village hall. Parties who have reserved the pavilions or ball fields at the town hall will take priority over walk on parties. All those reserving the fields or pavilions must sign an agreement to abide by all park regulations, and accept responsibility for those in their party.
      (12)   Refuse. All trash, garbage and refuse shall be disposed of in the containers provided for that purpose. Dumping of trash generated off-site is prohibited.
      (13)   Protection of Park Property and Wildlife. Removal or alteration of park property is prohibited. Damaging, destroying, or marring of equipment or property is prohibited. Hunting or harming wild animals on park property is prohibited.
         (a)   The release of animals on park land is prohibited without the written permission from the Park Board.
         (b)   Open fires are prohibited. Fires are permitted in charcoal grills and gas grills for the purpose of food preparation.
      (14)   Protection of Village Personnel. It is prohibited to interfere with any village official or employee in the performance of his or her duties or to refuse to obey the directions and commands of any village official or employee in the performance of his or her duties.
