A fund is hereby established on the accounts of the village titled “Unclaimed Funds” for the purpose of holding stale outstanding checks that have not been cashed within six months of the check date or any other unclaimed funds distributed by the village. A list of unclaimed funds shall be posted at the Village Hall and such other places as Council deems appropriate for a period of at least one year.
