(A) It shall be the responsibility of the Board to study, investigate, counsel and develop and/or update annually a written policy statement for development and maintenance of the City of Slayton Municipal Library.
(B) It shall be the responsibility of the Board to assist the Clerk/Administrator in developing a budget to implement the above-mentioned policy.
(C) The policy statement and budget will be presented annually to the City Council and upon their acceptance and approval shall constitute the official municipal library policy for the City of Slayton.
(D) The Board, when requested by the City Council, shall consider, investigate, make finding, report and recommend upon any special matter of question coming within the scope of its work.
