(A) There is hereby created a City Library Board for the City of Slayton, Minnesota, which shall consist of 7 members who shall be appointed by the Mayor of the City of Slayton with the approval of the City Council.
(B) So long as the city library continues to be a branch or a member of a regional public library system and the County of Murray continues to participate in a regional library system 1 of the members appointed to the City Library Board shall be a resident of the County of Murray residing outside of the city limits of the City of Slayton and the other 6 members appointed shall be residents of the City of Slayton.
(C) If the City Library ceases to be a branch or a member of a regional public library system or the County of Murray ceases to participate in a regional library system, all 7 members appointed to the City Library Board shall be residents of the City of Slayton, in accordance with the provisions of M.S. § 134.09, Subdivision l (as it may be amended from time to time).
