§ 92.005   WEATHER EMERGENCY.
   (A)   Whenever the Mayor declares a snow emergency to exist in the City of Slayton, the streets as designated by Council resolution and marked by signs as snow emergency routes will be cleared of all parked vehicles until after all snow has been removed.
   (B)   Notices of the emergency shall be given on radio station KLOH Slayton.
   (C)   In the absence of the Mayor, the Vice Mayor shall declare the emergency.
   (D)   It shall be unlawful to park on designated routes during a snow emergency.
   (E)   Any vehicle, which shall be left parked or standing in violation of this chapter, shall be summarily removed without notice to the owner or operator, by officers of the City of Slayton Police Department, or persons employed or designated by them and stored in any appropriate place.
   (F)   All necessary costs and expenses of towing, removing and storage of vehicles shall first be paid to the Police Department or persons employed or designated by them to receive same before release of the vehicles to the persons claiming them shall be made.
