§ 74.03   PERMITS REQUIRED.
   (A)   No person shall operate a motorized golf cart, all-terrain vehicle, mini-truck, medium-speed electric vehicles or neighborhood electric vehicles on streets and alleys within the city limits or under the jurisdiction of the City of Slayton without first obtaining a written permit from the city, except no permits will be required for council approved city celebrations, parades or county fair. Every application for a permit shall be made on a form supplied by the city and shall contain all of the following information:
      (1)   The name and address of the applicant.
      (2)   Model name, make, and year and number of the motorized golf cart, all-terrain vehicle, or mini-truck.
      (3)   Current valid driver’s license.
      (4)   Other information as the city may require.
   (B)   No permit shall be granted or renewed unless the following conditions are met:
      (1)   Motorized golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, and mini-trucks, medium-speed electric vehicles or neighborhood electric are permitted to operate only on city streets, not state or federal highways, except to cross at designated intersections.
      (2)   Motorized golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, and mini-trucks, electric vehicles and medium-speed electric vehicles shall be equipped with a rear-view mirror to provide the driver with adequate vision from behind as required by M.S. § 169.70.
      (3)   Authorized city staff may operate city owned motorized golf carts, mini-trucks without obtaining a permit within the city on city streets, sidewalks, trails, rights-of-way, and public property when conducting city business.
