A. Term Of Office: Members of the board of trustees of the district shall hold a term of office coextensive with the term of office which they hold as council member of the city. (1991 Code § 11-29)
B. Powers And Duties; Bond:
1. Such board of trustees of such district shall have the power and duty to promulgate and adopt such rules, procedures and contract provisions necessary to carry out the purposes and objectives of this chapter and shall individually post a fidelity bond in an amount not less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00).
2. The board of trustees of the district shall have the additional powers to hire a manager, and appropriate personnel, contract, organize, maintain, or otherwise operate the emergency medical services within the city, and such additional powers as may be authorized by the legislature.
