§ 41.008 PUBLIC FACILITY TICKET FEES.
   The following public facility ticket fees shall be charged for tickets on all paid admissions to events at city-owned sports, convention, or entertainment facilities where ticket sales from events are not treated as revenues by the city or the city’s facility manager. Public Facility Ticket Fees shall apply to: (1) the Events Center Complex, which includes the Denny Sanford Premier Center, the Sioux Falls Convention Center, and the Sioux Falls Arena, (2) the Sioux Falls Stadium, (3) the Orpheum Theater, and (4) the Washington Pavilion.
   (a)   Public Facility Ticket Fees for all admissions shall be established by the facility manager after consultation with the city finance director. The fee shall not exceed $5.00.
   (b)   The Public Facility Ticket Fees shall be collected by the facility managers and remitted to the city within 60 days of receipt and deposited in the entertainment tax fund of the city unless directed otherwise in the facility management agreement or lease.
   (c)   Notwithstanding subparagraph (b) above, Public Facility Ticket Fees in excess of $3.00 per ticket, up to $200,000 annually, shall be remitted by the facility manager of the Events Center Complex to the Sioux Falls Sports Authority, a Sioux Falls-based nonprofit corporation that promotes and attracts major sporting events to Sioux Falls including booking major events at the Events Center Complex. All Public Facility Ticket Fees remitted by the facility manager of the Events Center Complex to the Sioux Falls Sports Authority may be recorded as a revenue and expense for the Events Center Complex. Funding provided through this section shall be subject to review by the city finance director prior to December 31 annually. This subsection (c) shall be effective on the effective date of this ordinance through 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2027, unless extended or terminated.
