5-1-1: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:
FIREWOOD: Wood which is used for fuel (i.e., in a wood stove) which is neatly stacked and/or organized.
GARBAGE: Any putrescible solid or semi-solid animal and/or vegetable waste material resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking, serving, and consumption of food; wastes from the handling, storage and sale of produce; and any other matter whatsoever that may decompose, become foul, offensive, unsanitary or dangerous to health.
JUNK OR LITTER: Any iron, glass, paper, rags, cordage, wood (excluding firewood), machinery parts, cloth, or other waste or discarded material of any nature or substance whatsoever, or any scrap or salvage materials.
PROPERTY: Any real property within the Town, or any Town property within or without the corporate limits, which is not a street or highway.
REFUSE: Combustible and noncombustible discarded materials including but not limited to paper, wood (excluding fire wood), glass, clothing products, leaves, clippings, small branches and limbs, resulting from residential and manufacturing processes.
STREET OR HIGHWAY: The entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained, when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel.
VEHICLE: A machine propelled by power other than human power, designed to travel along the ground by use of wheels, treads, runners, or slides and to transport persons or property or pull machinery, and shall include, without limitation, automobile, truck, trailer, motorcycle, tractor, buggy, and wagon, or any part or portion thereof.
