7-2-5: IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF LICENSE REQUIRED:
   A.   Display Defined: For the purposes of this section, "display" means the manual surrender of his license certificate into the hands of the demanding officer for inspection thereof. After such examination, the officer shall return the license certificate to the licensee.
   B.   Immediate Possession: Every person shall have his driver's license in his immediate possession at all times when operating a motor vehicle and shall display the license upon demand of any judicial officer, municipal court judge, or any officer or agent of the state motor vehicle division, or any police officer of the state, county or municipality.
   C.   Avoiding Conviction: No person charged with violating this section shall be convicted if he produces in court a driver's license previously issued to him and valid at the time of the issuance of the citation. (Ord. 354, 4-3-2008)
