§ 72.02 PARKING IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control devise (stop sign, etc.), in any of the following places:
      (1)   On any sidewalk or utility strip between the street and sidewalk;
      (2)   At any place where the vehicle would block the use of any driveway;
      (3)   Within any intersection;
      (4)   In or upon any crosswalk;
      (5)   Within ten feet of a fire hydrant;
      (6)   At any place where official signs or markings prohibit stopping, standing or parking;
      (7)   Within ten feet of any intersection;
      (8)   With the left side of the vehicle next to the curb or on the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street;
      (9)   On any private property without the consent of the owner of the property, if the owner has posted a sign prohibiting or regulating parking.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any property owner, resident, renter or lessee in the city to store, park or otherwise allow upon residential premises any automobile or motor vehicle that is inoperative, or that does not possess insurance proof, if required by Kentucky law, unless said vehicle is contained inside a parking garage.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to park or store any motor vehicle, airplane, boat, mobile home, recreational vehicle or trailer on a vacant lot or in the front yard of any dwelling or structure in the residential district; and it shall be illegal for such vehicles to be lived in or occupied by any persons while located in the city.
   (D)   No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any street or roadway for the principal purpose of:
      (1)   Displaying it for sale;
      (2)   Washing, greasing, repairing, or demolishing the vehicle, except for repairs necessitated by an emergency.
   (E)   It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle, including trailers, upon any city street if the vehicle exceeds the width of seven feet or the length of 26 feet, unless the vehicle is in the process of being loaded or unloaded.
   (F)   It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle upon the streets or portions of streets at the time or times indicated, as set forth in Chapter 74, Schedule I.
   (G)   Heavy trucks, trailers and semis shall be prohibited upon such streets within the city as set forth in regulations as may be adopted by the city, except for deliveries being made to premises upon such streets, and any person or persons in violation of this prohibition shall be subject to penalty as herein provided.
