Upon receipt of an application, the town clerk shall verify information on the application and provide a copy of the application to the town police department. The police department may conduct a criminal background check and provide the results to the town clerk. The town clerk shall also coordinate the application with the town maintenance chief to ensure the proposed transient business will not interfere with public works operations during the specified time period.
