At its first meeting following each biennial election, the Board shall choose one of the Trustees as Mayor Pro Tem, who in the absence of the Mayor from any meeting of the Board or during the Mayor's absence from the Town, or his inability to act, shall perform the duties of Mayor. When performing the Mayor's duties, the Mayor Pro Tem votes as the Mayor, only in the case of a tie on an action that requires a vote. (1990 Code)
