The Mayor shall have the following powers and duties:
A. The Mayor shall be a member of the Board of Trustees and shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Trustees. The Mayor shall not be a voting member of the Board except in the case of a tie vote at which time the Mayor shall vote to determine the outcome. At the first meeting of the Board after a general election, the Board shall select a Trustee to serve as Mayor Pro Tem to preside at all meetings of the Board when the Mayor is absent. The Mayor Pro Tem, when not acting as Mayor, shall be entitled to vote as any other Trustee.
B. Insofar as required by statute and for all ceremonial purposes, he shall be the executive head of the Town.
C. He shall execute and authenticate by his signature such instruments as the Trustees or any statutes or ordinances of the Town shall require.
D. Such other powers and duties as are provided by statute or ordinance, or specifically conferred upon him by the Board of Trustees. (1990 Code; amd. Ord. 319, 8-11-2020)
