Whoever violates any provision of this chapter, or fails to comply with any provision or with any written notice given in accordance with this chapter issued by the Building Inspector or obstructs or hinders the Building Inspector while he or she is attempting to make any inspection to review compliance and for which no other penalty is provided is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, such person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense such person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree at the discretion of the court. Each day the violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
