(A) The Council authorizes the hiring of a Mayor’s Court Magistrate, to be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, and properly qualified to conduct such Mayor’s Courts, pursuant to R.C. § 1905.05. Compensation shall be determined between the parties. The person to be hired shall be neutral and detached from the city and have no connection to the government or officials of the city.
(B) The creation of this appointed position shall be made on a permanent basis.
(C) The individual selected for this position shall be appointed by motion and approved by the Council, on an as needed basis from time to time.
