For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
HAWKERS AND PEDDLERS. All persons who sell or offer for sale any goods, wares, merchandise, produce or supplies on the street by outcry, or by attracting the attention of persons by exposing their goods in a public place, or by placards, labels or signals.
SOLICITOR. All persons who travel from place to place or from house to house, or in public places, about the city soliciting for donations, orders for services, goods, wares or merchandise, produce or supplies for future delivery.
