(A) Any person coming into or now within the municipality who has been convicted of any felony or felonies in any court or courts shall, within 24 hours of arrival within this municipality, register with the City Police Department by giving the Department a written statement setting forth his name, address, the felonies of which he has been convicted, the date and place of said convictions, and the length of time he intends to remain within this municipality. Any person required to so register shall report any change of address to the police within 24 hours.
(B) Any person who fails to comply with this section, or fails to furnish truthful information shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not to exceed $500 or imprisoned not to exceed 90 days, or both.
