(a) All employees of the Village hired before January 19, 2010, upon the completion of at least five years of service and upon retirement under the provisions of the Public Employees Retirement System or the Police Disability and Pension Fund, shall receive compensation at the termination of their employment, at the rate of one working-day's pay for each year of full time employment up to the number of full years of service earned as of January 19, 2010 as shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, or in the alternative may take a leave with pay prior to termination of their employment of one working-day's leave for each full year's employment. Employees hired January 19, 2010 or thereafter are not entitled to this benefit
(b) The Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to compensate employees upon the completion of their service from the fund properly appropriated for that purpose.
(c) Such compensation shall be in addition to all other benefits provided by law for Village employees.
