The Village Audit Committee shall consist of five members as follows: The Mayor and the Chairman of the Finance Committee of Council, who shall both serve as ex-officio members of the committee; and three individuals with accounting, financial and/or legal experience who hold no other municipal office in the Village of Silver Lake. The three qualified candidates shall be appointed by Council, and shall serve without compensation. The terms of the three qualified members shall begin on January 1, 2006. One member shall be appointed for a period of one year, one for a period of two years, and one member for a period of three years, and thereafter each member shall be appointed to serve a term of three years.
