(a) Upon receipt by the Mayor of a written recommendation of the Citizens Housing Committee indicating that corrective measures are required on such a property, the Mayor shall serve notice to the property owner, that the Citizens Housing Committee has found the property to be in violation of this chapter by regular first class mail with certificate of mailing or to the tax mailing address on file with the County Fiscal Office if the owner’s address is unknown, and to the resident of the premises by delivery to the premises. The recipient of the notice shall have five business (5) days to appeal, in writing, the findings of the committee to the Mayor.
(b) After the expiration of the period for appeal and no reversal on appeal is issued by the Mayor, a final notice will be served specifying the number of days which the owner, occupant or other person or entity shall have in which to repair or take other such corrective actions as may be required in order to eliminate the violation.
