(a) All buildings and structures, whether residential, commercial or industrial, shall be adequately and properly identified for the purpose of facilitating the rendering of public services by the Village Police and Service Departments or the Fire Department.
(b) All buildings and structures shall display a street address number, posted near the entrance door or walkway facing the street with numerals at least three inches high on a contrasting background so as to be clearly visible from the street and at least four feet above the door sill.
(c) In addition to the street address numbers near the entrance of every building unit located more than seventy-five feet from the street shall also display a set of clearly visible street address numbers as herein prescribed near the driveway entrance to the building unit.
(d) In the event of special circumstances due to the location of a building unit, entrance or driveway, the Fire Chief or his designated representative shall determine where such street address numbers shall be displayed to facilitate ready location of such building unit.
(e) In the event script numbers are used, an additional set of block type arabic numerals must appear in a conspicuous place. Such numerals shall be at least three inches in height and sufficient in width so as to be readily discernable from the street.
(f) It shall be mandatory on a newly-constructed building that the numbers be on display as required in this section on completion of the building and prior to the issuance of an occupancy permit by the Building Inspector.
(g) The Summit County Engineer's office shall keep a chart showing a proper street number of every lot in the Village which shall be open to inspection of anyone interested.
