1335.01 GENERAL PROVISIONS.
All work performed under this Building Code shall conform to the requirements of the National Electrical Code, 1978 edition, which is hereby adopted by reference except as herein amended.
Licensing of contractors and work by owners shall conform to the requirements of Chapter 1329 of this Code. The purpose of this chapter of the Code is the practical safeguarding of persons and of buildings and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signaling and for other purposes.
This chapter contains basic minimum provisions considered necessary for safety. Compliance therewith and proper maintenance will result in an installation essentially free from hazard, but not necessarily efficient, convenient or adequate for good service.
