(a) One and Two Family Dwelling Codes and Ohio Basic Building Code. All work performed under this chapter of the Building Code for one and two family dwellings shall conform to the requirements of the One and Two Family Dwelling Code or the Ohio Basic Building Code whichever is the more strict, excepted as herein amended or herein otherwise provided.
(b) Location of Structure. The structure shall be located on the lot to conform to the limits as designated under the Planning and Zoning Regulations. The overhang of the roof shall be considered the point from which the minimum dimension is measured in determining the distance from the building or structure to the lot line or side line.
(c) Garages. A garage attached to a house or separated from a residential building by an open or enclosed breezeway and where the door of the garage opens on a street, facing a street, shall have the interior of the garage finished in such a manner that exposed studding, ceiling joists or roof rafters shall not be visible from the street when the doors are open. All regulations in regard to fire resistant construction shall be observed.
