1309.05 AUTHORITY OF BUILDING INSPECTOR.
   The Building Inspector shall have authority to order the enforcement of all laws, ordinances and regulations relating to the construction, alteration and repair, removal, moving, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures except as may be otherwise provided for. He shall, when requested by the Mayor or Council or when the interests of the Village so require, make investigations in connection with matters, under his jurisdiction, referred to in this Code and render written reports on the same. For the purpose of enforcing compliance with the provisions of this Code and other pertinent laws and ordinances assigned to him for enforcement, he shall issue such notices or orders as may be necessary. The Building Inspector shall have the right to enter upon any premises, building or structure at any reasonable time, in the performance of his duties to make an inspection except that he shall not enter upon any premises, building or structure in instances and under conditions that are in violation of the Constitution or laws of the State of Ohio or of the Constitution or laws of the United States of America.
   No person shall obstruct or abuse the Building Inspector in the performance of his duty.
   The Building Inspector shall identify himself when requested by presenting any reasonable and customary evidence that he bears on his person.
