In order to facilitate information legibility, traffic safety and the preservation of the unique characteristics of the Municipality, signs should be designed in a manner compatible with the character and style of immediate and neighboring buildings and signs. More specifically, signs shall be designed in accordance with the following standards.
(a) The color of signs shall be compatible with the color of the building facade to which they relate.
(b) Wall signs shall be designed to fit within any given frame of the architectural space intended for signage.
(c) The lettering on a sign shall be large enough to be easily read but not overly large or out of scale with the building on which the sign is placed. An excessive amount of information on signs, creating an image of visual clutter, shall not be permitted.
