The Director of Public Service shall upon the demand of the owner of a residence or another building, remove a water meter and have effected a special test of the meter in the computation of water. If the meter proves to be accurate, the total cost of the special test will be charged to the owner of the residence or other building.
Should the meter prove to be defective, the cost of repair shall be the expense of the water department. Any adjustment necessary to be made to a customer’s water bill shall be recommended by the Director of Public Service and approved by the Clerk-Treasurer after which the customer’s bill will show such adjustment on the following billing invoice.
