(a) No vendor or peddler using a motor vehicle, push cart or tricycle for the sale of ice cream, popsicles, ice sherbets and other frozen desserts, soft drinks, candy, sandwiches, peanuts, popcorn and other similar products, shall use or operate a noise-producing device when such vehicle is in motion. When lawfully used, such noise-producing device shall be a soft chime, the limit of audibility of which shall be 100 feet from the source of such sound.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
