A. Except as provided in this chapter, that certain electrical code known and designated as the 2022 California Electrical Code (CEC) (Part 3, Title 24, California Code of Regulations) based on the 2020 National Electrical Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association, shall be and become the electrical code of the city for regulating the installation, arrangement, alteration, repairs, use and other operation of electrical wiring, connections, fixtures, and other electrical appliances on premises within the city.
B. One copy of the California Electrical Code has been deposited in the office of the City Clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the Clerk for use and examination by the public.
