Violation of or failure to comply with any of the provisions of this Chapter 8.56, including any provisions of any code adopted by this chapter, shall be punishable in accordance with Section 1.16.010 of this code. Alternatively, at the sole discretion of the charging officer or the city attorney, a violation may be charged as an infraction punishable in accordance with the penalties stated in paragraph (c) of Section 1.16.010 of this code.
