(A) Signatures. The City Clerk shall seal and attest all contracts of the city and all licenses, permits and such other documents as shall require this formality.
(B) Seal. The Clerk shall be the custodian of the City Seal, and shall affix its impression on documents whenever this is required.
(C) Records. In addition to the record of ordinances and other records which the Clerk is required by statute to keep, he or she shall keep a register of all licenses and permits issued and the payments thereon and a record showing all of the officers.
(D) Documents. The Clerk shall be the custodian of all documents belonging to the city which are not assigned to the custody of some other officer.
(E) Indices. The Clerk shall keep and maintain a proper index to all documents and records kept by him or her, so that ready access thereto and use thereof may be had.
(F) Elections. The Clerk shall be the City Election Official and perform those duties required by state statute.
(G) Risk Management claims. The City Clerk shall also have the responsibility for the Risk Management Insurance claims administration.
(H) Council meetings. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to attend all meetings of the City Council unless at his or her request he or she is excused thereof by the City Manager and shall be responsible for recording the minutes and presenting them to the Council for approval.
(I) Annual report. The City Clerk shall also make an annual report, during the last month of the fiscal year, showing all activities of his or her office.
(J) Additional duties. In addition to the duties herein provided, the Clerk shall perform such other duties and functions as may be required by statute, or ordinance.
