§ 118.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DRIVER. The individual actually responsible for the operational control of a specific vehicle, as considered synonymous with chauffeur.
   FOR HIRE. A person engaged either regularly or occasionally in transporting one or more passengers by motor vehicle on any public highway for compensation, unless the transportation of the person is incidental to the commercial enterprise.
   LIMOUSINE. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   LIVERY VEHICLE. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   OWNER.
      (1)   The person or legally recognized entity holding actual legal title to a license issued under this chapter; and
      (2)   The person or legal entity having the right to direct and control the operations of a taxicab business within all or any portion of the city.
   PERSON. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   TAXI. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   TAXICAB. Every self propelled motor vehicle used to transport passengers for hire. TAXICABS do not include buses operating over regular routes or ambulances.
   TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANY. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28- 9501 et seq.
   TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANY DRIVER. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANY VEHICLE. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28-9501 et seq.
   TRANSPORTATION NETWORK SERVICES. Defined as provided in A.R.S. §§ 28- 9501 et seq.
