(a) Collection by Building Inspector. The permit or inspection fees set forth in this chapter, together with the permit fees for sign permits and swimming pool permits and the contractor’s registration fee, shall be collected by the Building Inspector in the amounts set forth below.
(b) Building Permit Fees. When a building is to be constructed or remodeled, the general contractor shall assume complete liability for all phases of the construction. One permit to cover all phases of such construction shall be issued. The fee for such permit shall be computed according to the following schedule:
(1) Single-family residence (one, two or three-family dwelling units):

(3) Detached residential garages, sheds and other accessory or temporary structures:

(4) Renovation work: any work involving removal of 25% or more of existing wall covering in any room for the purpose of moving utilities or reconfiguring floor layout.

(c) Pool Permits.
(1) Permanently installed pool, above ground $25.00

(2) Attached or detached business signs 25.00 plus $.10 per square foot in total area

(e) Electrical and Gas Turn-On Permits.

(f) Contractor’s Registration Fee. The contractor’s registration fee shall be $75.00 per calendar year.
(g) Return Inspection Fees.

(h) Demolition Permit Fees.
(1) Non-residential buildings containing
less than 5,000 s.f. $ 51.50
(2) Single-family residence 103.00
(3) Multiple-family and all other buildings

(4) All buildings in excess of 20,000 s.f.

(i) Site Plan Fees.
Base fee $ 77.25
Area (in addition to above fees) 1.05 per 100 square feet.
1,000.00 maximum fee.
(j) Issuance of Building Permits and Site Plan Permits. Building permits and site plan permits will not be issued until all of the appropriate utilities fees are paid in full. See Chapters 911 and 913 of these Codified Ordinances for applicable utilities fees.
