1301.05   ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL CODE.
   (a)   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by the City, for the purpose of regulating the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and appliances in the City, that certain code known as the National Electrical Code, 2002 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, and all future revisions or supplements to such Code, save and except such portions as may be hereinafter deleted, modified or amended. A complete copy of such Code shall be kept on file with the Clerk of Council and in the Shelby County Law Library.
   (b)   No person engaged in the business of transmitting or selling electric current shall permit electric current to be delivered beyond the point of temporary construction service or permanent service entrance for a one, two or three-family dwelling within the jurisdiction of this Code unless authorized to do so by the Inspector. Such authorization shall only be given after the wiring has been approved by the Inspector.
