(a) Graceland Cemetery is open year around; however, no one is permitted in the cemetery at any time between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except City staff.
(b) The cemetery office is open on Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., except holidays.
(c) No funeral services will be scheduled on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
(d) (1) The City Manager shall establish the price of lots and the fees for services at Graceland Cemetery, including grave service, opening and closing of grave, infant burial, mausoleum space, burial of ashes, installation of foundations for markers, disinterment services, weekend or holiday burials, and the Trust Fund fee for the perpetual care of all graves and mausoleum space in Graceland Cemetery.
(2) The fee for such services shall be an amount necessary to cover the costs of labor, material, equipment rental, administrative services and such premiums as the City Manager feels is necessary for the proper and effective management, control and regulation of the cemetery.
(e) All fees or charges for services or for lots should be paid at the Revenue Collection Office at the City Building, located at 201 West Poplar Street, Sidney, Ohio. However, if the Revenue Collection Office is closed (weekends, etc.), arrangements can be made with the Finance Officer or her designee. Payment in full is required before closing of a grave.
(f) Applicants for lots, burial space or mausoleum space may pay for such services within 36 months, without interest. However, all fees and charges shall be paid prior to the use of Cemetery services.
