549.12   IMPROPERLY FURNISHING DANGEROUS KNIVES TO CERTAIN MINORS.
   (a)   As used in this section, "dangerous knife" means a cutting instrument consisting of a blade of three inches or more in length.
   (b)   No person shall sell, offer to sell, barter or give away a dangerous knife to a person under the age of sixteen years, unless the purchaser is accompanied, in person, by his or her parents or legal guardians, who consent to such purchase or transaction.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of improperly furnishing a dangerous knife to a minor, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
