(a) Employees temporarily assigned the duties and responsibilities of their supervisor, unless such duties are a part of their job, shall receive an additional five percent (5%) over their base wage for the time they are performing in this capacity. Such assignment shall be made in writing by the department head. A record of all hours worked by the employee in this capacity will be kept and accounted for by the department head.
(b) Employees shall receive the temporary supervisory pay when the assignment equals or exceeds twenty (20) work days.
(c) The City Manager may, at their discretion, authorize temporary supervisor pay for an employee who is not eligible per subsection (a) hereof when said employee is assigned the duties and responsibilities of their supervisor for a period in excess of thirty (30) calendar days.
(d) The temporary supervisory pay will be paid on a bi-weekly basis.
