Zoning districts shall be amended in the following manner:
A. Submission Of Request: Requests for an amendment to this title shall be submitted to the commission which shall evaluate the request to determine the extent and nature of the amendment requested. (Ord. 15, 7-11-1977)
B. Conforms To Comprehensive Plan: If the request is in accordance with the adopted comprehensive plan, the commission may recommend and the board may adopt or reject the ordinance amendment under the notice and hearing procedures provided in chapter 14 of this title and the procedure in sections 9-9-6 through 9-9-9 of this title.
C. Nonconformance To Comprehensive Plan: If the request is not in accordance with the adopted comprehensive plan, the request shall be submitted to the planning and zoning commission or, in its absence, the board, which shall recommend and the board may adopt or reject an amendment to the comprehensive plan under the notice and hearing procedures provided in section 67-6509, Idaho Code. After the comprehensive plan has been amended, this title be amended as hereinafter provided for. (Ord. 15, 7-11-1977; amd. 2001 Code)
