A. Ban On Use Of Watering: To provide an adequate supply of water and water pressure available for drinking and health related purposes, fire protection or other emergency uses, property with odd numbered street addresses may use water for grass, tree, shrub and other landscaping watering purposes only on odd numbered calendar days, and property with even numbered street addresses may use outside water on even numbered calendar days. All such landscaping and lawn watering must be done between the hours of six o'clock (6:00) A.M. to ten o'clock (10:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) P.M. to ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. and is prohibited at all other times.
B. Restrictions: The village president, the chairman of the public works committee or the village administrator, may impose further restrictions on or prohibit the use of water for nonhealth essential purposes. Such restriction or prohibition may include, but shall not be limited to, prohibiting or further restricting the watering or sprinkling of lawns, gardens and other vegetation, the use of large volumes of water for commercial purposes such as laundromats or car washes and the filling of swimming pools. C. Bans: During periods of outside water usage ban, no nonhealth essential water usage will be allowed.
D. Notice Of Restriction Or Prohibition Of Water Usage: Notice of such restriction or prohibition (bans) of water usage shall be disseminated through reasonable communication media throughout the village including, but not limited to, the posting of notice of the same on the front door of the village municipal building. E. Exemptions: Notwithstanding any such restriction or ban, newly seeded and sodded lawns may be watered for a period of fourteen (14) days beginning the day the seed or sod is installed. The property owner must first apply for a permit for such watering from the village offices. The village will not issue permits between June 15 and September 15. (Ord. 05-1309, 9-13-2005)
