4-2-5: STORAGE OF VEHICLES ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY:
   A.   No person shall abandon, park, store, or leave or permit the abandonment, parking, storage, or leaving of any vehicle or part thereof which is unlicensed, has an expired state motor vehicle license, is abandoned, is wrecked, is dismantled or is in an inoperative condition, upon any public property or private property, within the village of Shorewood, for a period in excess of seven (7) days, unless such vehicle or part thereof is completely enclosed within a building in a lawful manner, where it is not plainly visible from the street or other public or private properties, or unless such vehicle is stored or parked in a lawful manner on private property in connection with the business of a licensed dismantler, licensed vehicle dealer or a junkyard.
   B.   The person to whom last was issued the certificate of title to the vehicle by the secretary of state is presumed to be the person to have abandoned that vehicle, but such presumption may be rebutted. (Ord. 03-1174, 7-22-2003, eff. 7-22-2003)
