Pursuant to the current State Well Code and the Minnesota Plumbing Code, private wells may be constructed or maintained and continued in use whether or not connection is made to the water system. In no event shall there be a means of cross-connection between the private well and the municipal water system at any time. Hose bibbs that will enable the cross-connection of the two systems are prohibited on internal piping of the well supply system. The threads of the boiler drain of the well volume tank shall be removed or the boiler drain hose bibb replaced with a sink faucet.
