§ 150.02 BUILDING INSPECTOR.
   The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with a person to act as Building Inspector for the city. Such person shall have sufficient knowledge and experience in the area of building and construction adequately to enforce the provisions of the Kentucky Building Code, and shall possess all of the qualifications required of building inspectors by KRS Chapter 198B and any regulations promulgated thereunder. The agreement shall provide the compensation for such services, and shall be subject to the approval of the City Council. The person or persons so appointed to provide building enforcement services for the city shall be designated as the City Building Inspector and shall possess all enforcement powers created by KRS Chapter 198B and by the Kentucky Building Code, which powers shall be enforced for the benefit of the city and of its residents. The Mayor is authorized to fill vacancies in such position as and when they may occur.
