Any person, firm, partnership, corporation, limited liability company or other entity in violation of any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than twenty five ($25) dollars nor more than five hundred ($500) dollars for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. The Code Enforcement Board is herewith granted jurisdiction to issue citations for violations of this chapter, to conduct hearings, issue orders relative to alleged violations and assess civil penalties in amounts within the above limits set for fines. In lieu of Shively Code Enforcement Board citations, hearings and civil penalties, violations of this chapter may be prosecuted in the Jefferson District Court.
