§ 117.01 REGISTER TO BE KEPT.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of any manager, operator, or owner of a motel, tourist court, or tourotel doing business within the city to maintain and keep a register of all persons occupying rooms, or to whom overnight accommodations of any sort are provided. The register shall contain the license number of the automobile of the registrant and the registrant’s name, address, and driver’s license number or other positive identification.
   (B)   The register shall be maintained and kept at the office of the motel, tourist court, or tourotel and shall be immediately displayed upon request to any peace officer of the state, as well as to any police officer of the city.
