The Mayor, subject to approval of the City Council, shall appoint a Golf Course Advisory Committee. Appointees shall be citizens of the city. There shall be five (5) members, one (1) initially appointed for a term of three (3) years, two (2) initially appointed for a term of two (2) years, and two (2) initially appointed for a term of one (1) year. Successors to these appointees shall be appointed in like manner, each for a period of three (3) years. The members of the committee shall serve in a strictly advisory capacity to the council parks committee, if the committee exists, and the Mayor and City Council.
