§ 34.01 PUBLIC RECORDS.
   (A)   Effective July 1, 1999, there shall not be any charge for copying, certifying or facsimile transmission of public records as defined by I.C. 5-14-3 when requested in accordance with the heretofore adopted request procedures.
   (B)   All the provisions of any ordinance heretofore adopted regarding access to public records and any cost or procedure associated therewith shall remain in full force and effect, other than the elimination of any cost to the general public of copying, certifying or facsimile transmission of the requested public records.
   (C)   In order to comply with I.C. 5-14-3 as admitted by the Indiana General Assembly, this section shall retroactively take effect as of July 1, 1999, and upon passage and due publication of the same.
