§ 33.50 DEFENSE OF LIFE.
   An officer may use deadly force to protect himself, herself or others from what he or she reasonably believes to be an immediate threat of death or (near death) critical bodily harm.
   (A)   When feasible the law enforcement officer shall give some warning to the subject before using deadly force.
   (B)   A law enforcement officer making an arrest under an invalid warrant is justified in using force as if the warrant was valid, unless he or she knows that the warrant is invalid when advised by dispatch unknowingly.
   (C)   A law enforcement officer who has an arrested person in his or her custody is justified in using the same force to prevent the escape of the arrested person from his or her custody or recapture that he or she would be justified in using if he or she was arresting that person.
